Darren Dreger has announced on X (formally twitter) that the Ottawa Senators are closing in on a deal with Travis Green to bring him in as their new Head Coach.
"Final details are still being worked on. Indications are Travis Green will be the next head coach of the Ottawa Senators."
The 53-year-old previously was the interim head coach for the New Jersey Devils this past season after Lindy Ruff was fired.
Before his stint in New Jersey, he served as the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks from 2017 to 2021. He had a record of 133-147-34 (.478) in just over 4-seasons.
