NHL Releases a Surprise Statement That Affects The Kraken

The NHL maintains a 'Critical Dates Calendar' that contains crucial information for teams, including dates like the Trade Deadline and Qualifying Offer Due Dates. Usually, it's all set by the start of preseason, but there's a recent update. According to Chris Johnston of TSN, the NHL sent out a memo:

"The NHL has circulated an updated critical dates calendar to clubs for the 2023-24 season. It has marked off June 28-29, 2024, for the Draft but doesn't include a location. As reported previously, the NHL has been working to finalize plans to host the 2024 Draft in Las Vegas."

Despite some challenges, it seems the NHL might have secured a time and place for the NHL Draft in Vegas at last.
