The Kraken would be landing the former 2nd Round Selection, Nick Robertson, who would be this deal's main piece. A 22-year-old who has yet to find his stride at the NHL level, he sure holds value if he were to be traded.
However, it's hard to see how that deal makes sense from Francis' perspective. The Kraken already has loads of forwards able to play the game at the highest level, and Robertson has clearly outgrown the AHL.
On the other side of things, Brodie is an experienced veteran, but does he hold more value than Oleksiak? He's older, smaller and carries a $5M cap hit.
