Berkly Catton Embraces Life as a Seattle Kraken Prospect
Seattle Kraken prospect Berkly Catton is making the most of his summer as he prepares for the next phase of his hockey career. The forward, who was drafted eighth overall by the Kraken in 2024, has been busy both on and off the ice. From throwing the first pitch at a Seattle Mariners game to working closely with Kraken assistant coach Jessica Campbell, Catton has had an eventful few months.
One of the highlights of Catton's summer was his experience at the Mariners game, where he had the honor of tossing the first pitch. This exciting moment showcased his growing connection with Seattle sports fans and helped him immerse himself in the city's vibrant sports culture.
"It was such a cool experience,» Catton said. «Getting to be a part of that, even for a little bit, was awesome.»
Another key moment for Catton has been his development under Kraken assistant coach Jessica Campbell, who recently made history as the NHL's first full-time female coach. As Catton gears up for the upcoming Kraken training camp, he is focused on making an impact and potentially earning a spot on the roster. With a summer full of memorable moments and strong preparation, the young forward is poised to take the next big step in his hockey journey.
