Kraken prospect set to join NHLPA rookie showcase in Virginia

Though closed to the public, players will be photographed for trading cards and will showcase their on-ice skills with other top prospects.

Morrison will represent the Kraken, joining top prospects such as Macklin Celebrini, Matvei Michkov, Cutter Gauthier, and Will Smith. The complete list of players attending includes Marek Alscher (Panthers), Seamus Casey (Devils), Logan Mailloux (Canadiens), and many more from across the league.

Morrison had a solid 2023-24 season with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, scoring 16 goals and 41 points in 64 games. The 22-year-old, 6'0» right-handed center stood out during his OHL career and showed potential in his first AHL season. Though his playoff performance wasn't as strong, Morrison is poised for growth with an increased role, bringing him closer to an NHL debut.
