According to Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the interest appears to be growing as many teams are looking for a center. Wright, who was selected 4th overall in the 2022 entry draft continues to develop his game down in the Coachella Valley with the Firebirds.
The Firebirds are currently in the Eastern Conference final of the Calder Cup where the team is preparing to try to closeout the series against the Admirals and head to the Calder Cup for a second year in a row. This kind of development is great for Wright as he at a young age is learning how to win and handle the ways of professional playoff hockey.
Incoming Kraken head coach Dan Bylsma will be looking for any help possible in scoring goals as the Kraken had one of the worst goals for in the NHL last year. It's quite unlikely that Francis will be willing to trade Wright as he is very young and still needs time to develop even though he was a fourth overall pick or have him playing on Bylsma's top 6.

It's also likely that Francis will try to and circle his top six with better players who could also bolster Shane Wright's game. The Kraken hold all the cards as he has yet to use any of his entry level contracts and only carries a cap hit of $886,000 for the next three seasons.
