Young Finnish goalies Niklas Kokko and Visa Vedenpaa have gotten the attention of Seattle Kraken Scouts Andrew Allen and Sasu Hovi as promising prospects for the team.
#SeaKraken goalie scout Andrew Allen & European scout Sasu Hovi take us behind the scenes to discuss the process of drafting two promising Finnish goalies, Niklas Kokko and Visa Vedenpaa
Kokko has had an impressive year in net for Finland at the IIHF Junior Championship this past winter and for the Pelicans in the Liiga. He is currently favored by Allen for his agility and ability show up for his team with a .926 save percentage.
Vedenpaa was an easy bet for goalie turned Kraken scout Hovi, who sees a lot of potential to mature and develop for the young Finn. The young goalie has had an incredible season goaltending for Karpat club, another team in the Liiga, and appeared in 13 playoff games with a .915 save percentage.
Both prospects show great promise and are names that fans should look out for in coming months.
