After his injury in game 2 of the AHL Pacific Division Final, star forward Shane Wright was not seen on the ice for the Firebirds' final 3-2 victory over the Ontario Reign.
Well into game 2, Wright was on the receiving end of a brutal and illegal center line hit from Ontario Reign's Hayden Hodgson while the puck was so far away that security guards at the American Airlines Center saw it pass by.
Hodgson would go on to receive a major interference penalty and an ejection from the game. Wright was having a hard time getting back to his feet and would disappear minutes after reaching the bench. Hopefully a speedy recovery is in the cards for Wright who might be missing out on the Western Conference Finals.
