The Seattle Kraken have yet to extend an offer to their forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare who is a free agent. Although changing up the roster in nothing new, we might regret letting this one go.
The 39-year old French national has been playing professionally since 2003 and has gained the wisdom that comes with such a long career. He is known to be an invested team member who take time to coach faceoff techniques to teammates to taking penalty killing assignments without a grudge.
New blood is always good for a team but despite his earlier injury, he seems to have made a full recovery and has shown at the IIHF World Championships that he can still show up when it matters. If the Kraken were to trade him, they would lose valuable mentor and leader for their junior players. Some thing have no price.
