The decisive contest in the Florida Panthers' Stanley Cup Final victory over the Edmonton Oilers garnered an average of 16.3 million viewers across North America, as reported by the NHL.
The Panthers' 2-1 win in Game 7, which secured the franchise's first title on Monday night, stands as the second-most-watched NHL game on the continent since the league began tracking viewership data in 2004.
The entire series averaged 8.8 million viewers in North America, marking it as the most-watched Cup Final on the continent since 2013.
The games were broadcast in Canada on CBC, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports, while in the United States, they were aired on ABC and ESPN+.
Sportsnet's coverage reached an average audience of 7.55 million, with a total reach of 15 million, making it the network's most-watched broadcast ever.
Game 7 alone averaged 7.7 million viewers on ABC in the U.S., making it the country's most-viewed NHL game since the 2019 Cup Final Game 7, where the St. Louis Blues triumphed over the Boston Bruins.
