As the Seattle Kraken continue to build their team, having only been in the league for three seasons, the Kraken management, led by General Manager Ron Francis, continues to seek out players who will help bolster their team and maintain their status as playoff contenders.
One position they have focused on is goaltending. The team suffered a loss when the Toronto Maple Leafs signed goaltender Martin Jones to a one-year deal this offseason. The 33-year-old netminder played 48 games for the Kraken last year, posting a record of 27-13-3 with a 2.99 goals-against average and a save percentage of .887.
The 27-year-old netminder, standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 201 pounds, was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2015 in the seventh round, 199th overall. During his last season with the Kraken, he played four games and had a record of 2-1-1, with a 3.14 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage.
