The Seattle Kraken AHL affiliate team, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, have a few rookies that have shined bright during the playoffs. As they make their way to the Western Conference Finals, Ville Ottavainen, Jacob Melanson, and Luke Henman are names you want to look out for.

The @firebirds are soaring into the Western Conference Finals after a comeback victory led by rookies Ville Ottavainen and Jacob Melanson, plus the first ever signed prospect Luke Henman, to sweep the Ontario Reign.

Ville Ottavainen is a rookie defenseman that has earned his keep in the playoffs. During Sunday's victory over the Ontario Reign, the AHL newcomer earned his first playoff assist on Kole Lind's icebreaker goal early in the second period.

Both Melanson and Henman sent the puck on its way to defenseman Jimmy Schuldt who evened the score for the Firebirds. Both players now have three assists in the postseason. Let's see how they perform in the finals!
