Former Seattle Kraken expansion draft selection, Gavin Bayreuther, has signed a contract with Lausanne HC of the NL. The Kraken famously selected Bayreuther from the Columbus Blue Jackets in the expansion draft, but he signed a two-year deal with the Blue Jackets just a week later.
The 30-year-old defenseman will be joining Lausanne HC, who plays in the NL, the top professional hockey league in Switzerland.
In his NHL career, Bayreuther totaled 122 games, scoring five goals and 28 points with the Blue Jackets and the Dallas Stars. Before signing with the Stars in 2017, the Concord, New Hampshire native spent four years at St. Lawrence University of the NCAA and two years in the USHL.
