Karson Kuhlman Signs with Finland's Lukko

Former Seattle Kraken winger Karson Kuhlman has signed with Lukko of Liiga, Finland's top professional league.
The 28-year-old played parts of the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons with the Kraken, scoring three goals and 11 points in 39 games. Last year, he was with the Bridgeport Islanders, the New York Islanders' AHL affiliate.
The Boston Bruins initially signed Kuhlman to an entry-level contract after he completed four years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he captained the team to a National Championship in his final year. Despite showing potential as a bottom-six winger, Kuhlman struggled to maintain consistency in the NHL.
Kuhlman joins a Lukko team that finished as the eighth seed and exited in the first round of the playoffs.
The Esko, Minnesota native brings 147 NHL games with the Kraken, Bruins, and Winnipeg Jets, and 146 AHL games to his new team in Europe.
