Montour Celebrates New Muskoka Community Centre Opening
Over the weekend, Brandon Montour made his way back to his home province of Ontario to celebrate the grand opening of the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre in Bracebridge.
He was joined by a star-studded group, including newly named Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews, forward John Tavares, Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Erik Gudbranson, New Jersey Devils forward Nate Bastian, Sabres defenseman Owen Power, and Sam Gagner, Edmonton Oilers forward and founder of Muskoka Hockey.
Muskoka, a stunning district in Central Ontario known for its 1,600 lakes and vibrant hockey scene, is home to Bracebridge, a historic town built around a waterfall on the Muskoka River.
Located two hours north of Toronto and three hours from Montour's hometown of Ohsweken on the Six Nations of the Grand River reserve, Bracebridge is now celebrating its new state-of-the-art community center, which features an ice rink that opened in conjunction with the Muskoka Hockey League's training camp.
Montour was spotted sporting his new Kraken gloves and a green Muskoka hockey jersey.
