Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger put on a great performance in Coachella Valley's first win of the season on Saturday night against the Tucson Roadrunners.
Driedger posted 27 saves in a shutout victory, improving his record to 1-1 on the year with a .945 save percentage through two games.
The Firebirds won 4-0 with standout performances from forward Marian Studenic and Driedger.
The Seattle Kraken selected Chris Driedger in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft from the Florida Panthers after posting a 14-6-3 record in 23 games, complimented by a .927 save percentage and three shutouts.
Driedger's last stint in the NHL came in the Kraken's inaugural season where he went 9-14-1 with a .899 save percentage in 27 games.
Last season saw Driedger sidelined for most of the year recovering from an ACL tear.
However, he did get into 14 games with Coachella Valley after his injury, going 9-4 with a .908 save percentage.
If needed be, Driedger would be next up on the depth chart for Seattle to call up.
