Every professional sports team has a player who puts in the effort every night, but does not get the respect they deserve.
For the Seattle Kraken, that player has been Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.
Bellemare signed a one-year deal in Seattle worth $775,000 over the summer.
The 38-year-old forward has been a welcomed addition to the Kraken playing as their fourth line center.

Bellemare has found himself as one of Seattle's top penalty killers, with his lone goal on the season coming while short handed.
Playing against his former team on Monday night in Tampa Bay, Bellemare and the Kraken penalty kill held the Lightning to one goal on two power plays, and 8 shots.
Bellemare has never been a player who lights up the scoresheet, but has always been a reliable bottom-six centerman who can kill penalties and win faceoffs.
He did so on the inaugural Vegas Golden Knights and the 2022 Tampa Bay Lightning, going to the Stanley Cup finals with both teams.
This year, Bellemare has won 53.4% of his faceoffs, a very respectable number.
