Seattle Kraken coach Dave Hakstol has been emphasizing how the team needs to play simple hockey in order to start finding more consistency down the stretch.
Against the Lightning on Monday, Seattle saw themselves surrender a two-goal lead for the third straight game.
However, Seattle kept their game simple which led them to an overtime win.
Tampa came into this game 30th in the NHL in shots against per game, and the Kraken took advantage of that.

Seattle would also be very efficient on their special teams, an area they need to be strong in if they want to string some wins together.

Staying out of the box is important when facing a team such as Tampa Bay and Seattle did that by only taking two penalties.
Seattle would also block 19 shots in the game, taking away lanes and protecting their net.
