The Vancouver Canucks have been involved with trade talks lately involving winger Conor Garland.
Garland is in his third season with the Canucks after being traded from the Arizona Coyotes, posting 98 points in 158 games over the previous two seasons.
A former fifth round pick in 2015, Garland has established himself as a quality middle-six winger with a solid power play presence, with 84 goals and 196 points, in 328 career games.
Garland carries a cap hit of $4.95 million through the 2025-26 season.
Vancouver is right up against the salary cap and has their star forward Elias Pettersson on an expiring deal.
David Pagnotta from The Fourth Period reports that Columbus, Nashville, Chicago, and Carolina could all be in the mix for Garland as the Canucks try to clear up cap space.
Many believe that Vancouver would have to throw in a sweetener to any deal involving Garland, especially if they are unwilling to retain any cap space.
