In response to the ongoing state of emergency caused by severe flooding in New York, the NHL has taken decisive action regarding tonight's scheduled game.

NHL Reschedules Rangers vs. Islanders Match
Massive flooding has led to a state of emergency in New York, prompting both the Rangers and Islanders to jointly announce the postponement of their game tonight.
"Due to the flooding and the state of emergency declared by New York State, the New York Islanders game against the New York Rangers at UBS Arena tonight has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. at UBS Arena."
