Seattle Kraken prospect Eduard Sale has been playing overseas his entire life.
Becoming a top European prospect, he was initially projected to be a top ten pick in the 2023 draft, but had some consistency issues.
Falling later in the first round, Seattle selected him 20th overall, taking a chance on his natural talent.
In the 2021-22 season, Sale played in the Czechia U20 league where he put up a dominating 43 goals and 89 points in just 39 games.

Last season, Sale played professionally in Czechia for HC Kometa Brno, posting 14 points in 43 games as a seventeen year-old playing against men.
Sale has come over to play for the Barrie Colts in the Ontario Hockey League, his first season playing in North America.
In 9 games with the Barrie Colts, Sale has one goal and seven points.
It usually takes some time for players to adjust to North American ice surfaces since they are smaller than the ones overseas.
For Sale, getting used to the new ice early on will help him develop his game quicker before turning professional for Seattle.
